STEVEN E. KNOTT has served as lead trial counsel in complex business contract, toxic tort, environmental and multi-party insurance coverage actions. He has tried cases and argued appeals at the state and federal level. His present and recent representations include national manufacturers, television broadcasters, hospitals, oil producers and refiners, financial services companies, and manufacturer and distributor defendants in asbestos litigation.
In 1983, Mr. Knott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California at Berkeley. After serving as an artillery officer and non-lawyer trial counsel in the Marine Corps, he earned his Juris Doctor at the University of California at Davis, where he received the American Jurisprudence Awards in Appellate Advocacy I and II. Prior to forming Knott & Glazier, Mr. Knott was an attorney in the oil industry and a partner and manager of the Los Angeles office of a national law firm. Mr. Knott is an "AV" rated lawyer (the highest rating possible) in the Martindale directory of attorneys, and Mr. Knott was selected in 2005 and 2006 as one of California's Super Lawyers, a peer voted honor, as published in Los Angeles Magazine.
